Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has pledged to donate just over $1b towards fighting the Coronavirus, aka COVID-19. The founder of Donald Trump’s favorite social media platform announced this morning, April 8th 2020, to give 28% of his wealth to a fund called Start Small to, in his words, “fund global Covid-19 relief”. Thanks, Jack!
I’m moving $1B of my Square equity (~28% of my wealth) to #startsmall LLC to fund global COVID-19 relief. After we disarm this pandemic, the focus will shift to girl’s health and education, and UBI. It will operate transparently, all flows tracked here: https://t.co/hVkUczDQmz

Dorsey has a net worth of about $4.9b, so this is a significant contribution from him! To compare, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos only set aside a miserly $100m towards Feeding America. That’s just .1% of his $124b total net worth. C’mon! You can do better, Jeff!
Funny world we live in where the richest people are called Jeff and Jack, but here we are!
